I picked up these gears and pioneer 400 w amp for $100. Are these Ford Racing 373's ?

Nice, I think I got a good deal, I got a 91 complete 8.8 rear axle for $50, and the gears for 50, But how much will a budget gear install be???

Hmmmmm, Looked at a set on ebay and the #'s were very similar

Ford could have changed it after a certain year. My gears are about 8 years old.

I think if they have the ford logo stamped on them then they are ford racing gears, because of all the legal rights to the ford logo

yours say "1L5L" so that means they are OEM Ford gears NOT Ford Racing gears. not sure of the difference. 3.73's were/are used in F150s and Explorers IIRC.
