anyways....everyone's gonna say this so i might as well say it for them. do a search here in 5.0 talk, there's been a few discussions on ebay turbo kits and i think the general concensus is they are total crap kits.
No, look at the headers. Cheap kits like this are all the same, they take a set of cheap headers, cut off the flange, and weld on a turbo flange. But if you look at the position of where the turbos would mount, they simply won't fit in a normal fox engine bay. The left header would mount the turbo where it would hit the master cylinder, and the right side would hit the oil fill tube and the alternator bracket. If you look at ANY turbo kit mounted in a Mustang, you will see that the turbo(s) are mounted pretty much against the header panel where the battery is mounted and in the same position on the other side of the engine where the intake box normally sits. With the kits on eBay, they try to mount the turbos too close to the engine causing you to make severe modifications just to make it fit. Then after you go through all the trouble of trying to make it fit, you would have gone through all the hassle just to mount a cheap kit that is going to give you headaches.
Just do a google image search for "turbo 5.0" and look at how all the turbos are mounted, you will clearly see that the style headers sold with those cheap eBay kits would not place the turbo where it would fit.
Now look at where the turbo sits, now look at the headers posted above and you can see that there is no way the turbo would fit in a normal Mustang engine bay with that type of position those cheap turbo headers would put it.
I bought this same kit a few months ago. At the same time my dad bought a set of headers for his grand national from the same company. He put them on and nothing went right! They hit in about two different spots and ended up cracking shortly after. Needless to say i sold the turbo kit because im pretty sure you would need to rework alot of the pieces to get things the right way. You might as well do it right the first time and buy a quality kit.
i've gone through at least 4 sets of header gaskets with my turbo mustang. its a real pain in the ass to replace once the turbo is mounted too. i smartened up and use that orange rtv stuff now.
also there are no downpipes in those pics. just stay clear from these cheap ass kits
