My new low compression 427w is about done (Needs an Intake) and i will be cleaning up the engine bay and hiding things to make it nicer to work on and look at.

Nobody makes a twin turbo kit for a 94. The only person who makes a single turbo kit big enough to handle the power i want is hp and even then im a little skeptical. Their answer to my setup is putting an 88mm turbo on there standard kit. But thats kind of restrictive with only a 3 1/2" down pipe.

Now they make a twin turbo kit for the 96+ mustangs that hide up front in the fenderwells. They suggested not trying to use the kit on the 94/95 cars because of all the little differences.

Would it be worth trying to buy the parts of the 96+ kit i need and fabricating the rest myself. like use the same intercooler and tubing to the intercooler like in the pic below? and then fab the rest?

Its a difference of using probably two 57mm turbos with 3" downpipes or using 1 88mm turbo with a 3 1/2 inch downpipe?

damn dude, that twin setup looks mean. me personally i would do the twins, just for looks and weight distr--i know jack about turbo's. good luck man, it should rip either way. maybe you could get an intake with a t/b on each side, that would be manly.

The turbonetics YTK T88 supports 1500 horsepower in a single application, is that not enough?

It will support up to 1500 hp... But i doubt it will do that with only a 3 1/2" downpipe. Cartech sells a twin setup for the fox but you have to get rid of virtually all your accessories. I think twin 44's are supposed to be good for 1000 hp.

IF i thought i could get a cool 1000 rwhp out of the 88mm i wouldn't be thinking about twins..

i think you are confused a little. 96+ are SMALL differences? the engine is totally different. a fox kit would be much closer to working than a modular kit. when i switchedmy kit from my 88 to 94, i changed the cold side only very slightly.
plus i think b&g, ponydown and hellion all make 94-95 kits, (i dont feel like searching) and if they dont, im sure they will if you contact them, brian at b&g especially.
go to turbomustangs.com and read up. a 3.5" dp is not going to support 1500hp

When it comes to the actuall turbo kit and where the turbo's are placed there isn't much difference. Given you have to have different headers but i think i can work around that. the plumbing from the headers to the turbo's and the plumbing from the turbo's to the catback system are my main concernces.

looks like that guys needs an auto... He eats first up almost instinataniously. The bad part is you can hear the boost go away between shifts.

I have my tko600 out and for sale.. Im putting in a PA C4 with a transbrake (kinda nice having a lifetime warrenty on those bad boys, and even at 3 hundred horse less then him i would smoke him all day long at the track.

Its getting my gearing figured out im worried about... Think im going with 3.25 so at forth i can go down the highway without too many RPM and at my rev limiter at the end of the track i should be pushing 158 mph

After watching that im so looking forward to something crazy like that. I think twin 67mm isn't out of the picture now.

i think the intercooler and piping there would fit fine, then get a fox kit and manage to get it together, either that or get the intercooler section then fab the rest up, which would work fine id say...

Why not just get the single kit and find a way to make a custom downpipe which is larger then 3.5?

Oh and willies car recently went 9.87 at 152 and made 1200hp and 1301 trq. That car does NOT have a roll cage and IMO is the ultimate street car(just cause its a 94/95 and black, with my headlights and hood....) Ive seen it run in person....and its amazing! That car sounds SO badass. Ill see if I can find the video of a recent grudge match that finally went down against a Supra(his name is jesus on all the boards if anyone browses the supraforums.) Heres a pic I took a couple weekends ago:

what is that guy running for a combo... that turbo looked huge... maybe 101 or bigger? I would also like to know how that car car is holding up to that much torque. If he hooked up go go into the 9's i would think it would twist that car up pretty bad without some sort of cage (might have a good subframe system?). He must have changed a lot of stuff to get it into the 9's... im guess switched to an auto.. I don't think the way that car was acting in the video that it would ever touch 9's without an auto.

Its one of those things though... If he did run 9's with a manual think how much faster he would be if he had a good auto.

My only real arguement in favor of the twins is that having two smaller turbos as opposed to one large one will result in less turbo lag. That big turbo is gonna take longer to spool.

Also, one other plus (might not matter to you) is that you will still have dual exhaust with the twins (something about a Y-pipe just makes me cringe).

Edit: GOOD GOD that black stang is a freakin monster!!!

:Word:

I remember hearing something a while back that a single turbo will almost always make more power than twins, but you get less lag with twins. With that monster 427 you have, I don't think you're gonna have to worry about too much lag.

I'm sorry bud, but you've got a lot to learn. I'm hoping you've already joined over at Turbomustangs.com and started reading. You car with 300 less hp will not eat his car alive. You are more than mistaken on that. That video was made at 13psi and his first time out on the track with that combo and first attempt at slicks. 13psi that car made 600rwhp and ran a 10.9 with some of the ****iest launching ever seen. So you're telling me at with 300rwhp you are gonna beat his 10.9. Thats comedy. You should also know that nothing changed in his combo between the video and him running his 9.87 at 152. He just got used to driving the car and upped the boost a bit. Still not going past 20psi. The car topped at 1013 in the vid at 30psi. He doesn't daily drive it at 30psi. I suggest you do lots of reading over at TM.com and see what other guys with you size cubes are running. If you want to run twins. Why don't you have someone build you a kit like Mike or Brian at B&G. I think you'd be better of with twins running a 427 mostly because it will take a large frame single set up to make power and still have street manors.
