How do we get the big-assed trailer in there sideways at the back of "Grandpa's workshop"?

You back it through the bay door situated in front of the hitch end of the trailer.

Couldn't see any overheads in the pic. That gigandor beam over the top hides that.

Yeah, that part is a taller add on for the campers. There's another 14 ft bay door on the other side of that trailer for my brother in law's camper that just sold. I'm gonna divide those bays with plastic and paint there, most likely. Tell ya what, I would KILL for that shop. 40 x 145 feet long... and full of toys. He's got boats, (s) jeeps (s) jet skis, welding machines, a slew of wood working machines, a 66 vert..

Dammit!!!! you corrected the misspell before I could dog you for it.

I was gonna say that "would working" machines probably came from Harbor Freight.

Because at one time, they "would work"

All that's happened lately is more and more body work. Trying to straighten the roof out which has taken at least three solid weekends, still not done with that.. Once we finally get the roof smoothed out we have to fix a dozen pi sser dents in the doors and quarters.
I spent all day yesterday rebuiling the deck on my mower and trying to knock back the jungle that is my yard after the great flood.
Took the fam to church, and after a big fathers day dinner took a nap, then piddled on the turbo car a little. First time in a while for that..

I'm trying to get the ball rolling on my own shop, and I need to do dirt work when the property dries out.. A friend lent me a good sized tractor, but i have to do some repairs to it first before i can use it..The work is never done.

The boy has his license now and has been driving his mom's old car and working for his grandpa. We are hoping to have paint done by end of summer.

Well, Momma has intervened and given me plans and an ultimatum. My working on my car last night was the first car stuff that's happened here in a while.

It's a long story.. five years ago my wife and I bought property and built a three bedroom house. It made sense at the time, it was just Me, my wife, and my son. We wanted more kids, but were unable to have them. To further complicate things, during construction of the house I was diagnosed with cancer... so the idea of adoption went out the window. Between medical bills and building this house we stayed afloat by God's grace alone. I know no other way we did it.. a few years later, after I had beaten the disease and was given a clean bill of health, we had the opportunity fall into our lap to take in three girls who were taken from their parents and put in a state home. My wife is a teacher, and the girls, all sisters, had been my wife's students. After a few years we were able to adopt.. and we need more bedrooms in our home... so, I'm getting evicted from my garage. Momma says I must build a shop (breaks my heart) to move all my stuff into and make the garage into more bedrooms.

So, nothing has been done recently (for the most part) that hasn't been involved in this project. I finshed getting the last of the dirt in this last week and spreading it, and hopefully I can get the builders in soon to go to work. Then, and only then, will mustang construction resume, so sayeth momma. BUT, it will be soon, I promise.

It doesn't look like it, but that is 14 loads of dirt, mostly leveled and compacted. The tractor i used is a 1961 john deere i had to get running to use. Thatvwas the deal. Took several weeks to get it going after work and weekends, but its done, dirtwork is done, now can rest a little while the shop is being built- but then it's back to work building bedrooms. LOL.

If I lived closer I'd help you and work for beer! Good luck and that's an awesome thing you did by adopting those girls. It's rare that 3 sibling can all be adopted to the same family without getting split up. I hope good things continue to come for your family and hope other people will be there for your family if your ever in need.
