Anyone have any experience with them? I was originally planning on a TKO 500, but the G-Force just won't get out of my mind. I was referred to Astro Performance, but am still wondering where the best place to buy one is. Would it be better to just order one directly from G-Force? Also, I want to get a Spec stage 2 clutch, but I hear they are T-5 killers. Would a Spec stage 2 be overkill for a G-Force T-5? Check out Astro Performance here: http://www.astroperformance.com/

I have one and my best friend has one. Both of our cars are blown and pretty much everything else has broken but the trannies. I have been recently informed that the fellas at G-Force recommend the McLeod clutches. Grabby=no good. The clutch you need depends on the amount of hp you make. With your combo you could probably do just fine with a King Cobra clutch.

Where did you order your G-Force and how much was the total cost? Also, G-Force themselves sells both a G-Force using a new core and used core. The price difference is about $400 ($2000 for new, $1600 for new). What would be the advantage of getting a G-Force that has a new T-5 core? Astro performance only sells the G-Force with a used core, because they have a core charge.

I can't speak for a G-force but I just got a t-5z from Tony at Astro and his place is top notch. Give him a call, he'll answer any question you have.

Tony is a great guy and is very eager to help you out with any questions you may have.
My car is not on the road yet (soon!).
The advantages of the G Force are:
much lighter than TKO's and comprable trannies
easier install/less modification required
2.95 1st gear and a .59 5th gear overdrive!

I was originally planning on getting a TKO 500, but this G-Force thing is really growing on me. I have a heavy convertible and want to save as much weight as possible. If I get a TKO I will add 30-40lbs to my car and loose some power to the ground, as the TKO eats up more power than the T-5. This astro-performance prepped G-Force seems to be in the same price range as the TKO. I think I may just get one of these T-5's and be done with it! I've heard nothing but good things about them when prepped by Tony at Astro-Performance.

One more question... What about a Centerforce DF clutch? Would it work well with a G-Force T-5?
