Would 24 lb injectors do me any good with the mods in my signature? Any detriment to running them? I may have a leak-down problem with one of my existing plugs, and figured while I had them out -- I might just change them.

You don't need them now, but I would buy them (if you need new injectors) if you're planning more mods in the future. No sense in buying some 19#'s for the same price and then having to upgrade later.

IMO, 24's are a useless upgrade even 30's are a bit iffy. If you are planning to do a 75shot of N2O maybe 24's, HCI then 30's, a sc a minimum of 36's (I have 30's and it seems as if I am not getting the fuel when I need it), the combo HCI and sc 42's.

You can run 30's on a S/C. Once you hit close to 300 RWHP thats when you need to upgrade injectors. 24's are fine for 300 RWHP or slightly more.

you cant make a general statment and say that you need a min of 36's w/ a S/C b/c it depends on what else is done to the car. If its got H/C/I and a SC then yeah Id want 42's b/c you will be over 400 RWHP but if its got stock heads, stock cam, just intake, exhaust and other bolt ons then you can get away w/ 30's b/c you would only be pushing about 350 RWHP.

Throw a Cam in there and you could run 24# w/ a 155-190 Fuel pump.

Running too small of an injector is asking for trouble, and running too big of an injector is only going to hurt the cars performance. If you run a 42 lb/hr injector on a normal H/C/I 302 combo, your going to have to turn the fuel pressure down to a point where it's going to mess up the spray pattern/atomization of the fuel. This is not good.

A 24 lb/hr injector is good for 400 flywheel horsepower. Upgrading to a 24 lb/hr injector with the basic mods such as an intake manifold, exhaust, MAF, pulleys, etc. is not a bad idea. Sure, it's definitely not worthwhile from a pure horsepower stand point, but if you plan on going further, you're going to have to buy the new injectors anyhow.
