At what speed does ramair take effect

Maybe some more know about this than me. My *theory* is that you must be going faster than the engine can suck air. Or in other words, if an engine sucks air at 40mph at WOT you must go faster than that for it to truly take affect. Am i right or wrong?

If 100mph though why even have it except for the colder intake. Not trying to argue just wondering.

it lowers underhood temp alot, when i had mine on it ran very cool

Yes . I heard 100 mph also . The March under bumper ram-air is pretty much a waste of money .
