I had the Bullitt in place of the stocker. But after a blister or two along with almost a 2nd degree burn this summer I put the stock knob back in there. I might try one from an 05 & up to see if I like it.

Not sure where you're located but I'm in south Texas. After the car sitting outside all day with the ouyside temps around 100 and no cloudes.... That shift ball gets damn hot.

Also, with the Tri Ax in the car the shifter transfers heat from the tranny. I would cover up the shifter with a towel while it was parked but it would still be a little warm. Once I had been driving for a while the trans would warm up and that heat would transfer right into the shift knob. Just got tired of dealing with it, then the burns made up my mind.

Like I said, it came with the car, I haven't even bothered looking at anything else. I love it. I'm also a pool player, so it's somewhat fitting.

I ran a Mach 1 knob for a while, and then swapped to the 5-spd Cobra style knob.

Pic of it now in my fox, but it was in my '03 GT. Very comfortable to shift

I'm a sucker for a black/black leather fox.

I might end up going with the cobra style knob, seems to be the popular choice.
