Up until a few days ago, I owned a 2000 Mustang. A car thief lost control of the Ford Escort (?!?) he was stealing, and crashed into 5 cars in the parking lot of my building. The rear of my car was shot (all body damage, but due the the cost, the insurance company has written it off).

I have stripped the car of most of my mods, but the insurance company says anything I take, I have to replace. I have a set of front Ford racing Cobra brakes (w/ 13 inch rotors) with only 3000 km on them. They are in amaing shape. I also have some professionally painted interior parts, and a Steeda Tri-ax shifter in the car. I can not take these parts without replcements, and I hate to see the salvage auction get them. So if anyone is interested, reply now. The car will be towed either tomorrow or Tuesday and it is gone for good. I will give these to you for next to nothing, but you will have to give up your stock shifter or brakes to get them.

This is not a scam, if you want new Cobra brakes, and a Tri-ax shifter, or painted interior parts, contact me now. You can come with me and get the parts off of my car!!!!!!

Actually, it will fit your T-5 (it fit mine) - but you have to be in Ottawa, so we can trade off the parts within the next day or two.

1) Where did this happen? (Didn't hear anything about this on the news.)
2) What insurance company do you deal with? I'm amazed that they're not freaking out on you for having done mods to your car....

1) This happened on a week ago Monday night, over near Albion and Bridlepath(Goth Ave.) The news doesn't report most of this stuff unless there are casualties. We caught the little bastard as he was trying to get out of the wrecked car though. Out of the 6 cars, the Escort he stole was totalled, and my Stang. He took the bumper off a Cavalier, did $5000 damage to an SUV parked beside me, $7000 to a Subaru parked on the other side (that my car was pushed into, and finally did a nice dent into the entire side of a nice Olds. The cops were on the scene in minutes.

2) I'm with the Co-Operators, whom I have no complaints about. They didn't seem to care about the mods, but then again, I wasn't involved in the actual incident, so they couldn't blame me for anything. I've ripped out almost everything I could that I installed, except for my ignition wires, brakes, painted interior parts and Tri-ax shifter for the T-5, that will work on any GT (81-mid 2001) and V6 (94-2003). I was hoping anyone here might be interesded in them, because it is a waste to see these parts go to a salvage auction. They probably won't even realize the short throw shifter is in the car.

Oh well... I tried. I guess they will just be lost...

Sorry, wasn't able to get back on the server due to heavy traffic.

The car is now gone . Everything happened so fast, and the window to get these parts was really limited. Sorry guys, I was really hoping that someone could have grabbed them, such a waste. Some junk dealer in Ottawa will bid on the car now at a salvage auction, and they will have them.

I'm about 5 hours from Ottawa so I scrolled over your thread because of its title.
You can bet I would have gladly made the trip... Oh man...

Any plans to buy another Mustang ?

That's going to depend on the wife... this couldn't have happened at a worse time. I just had a child, so my Stang already had crosshairs on her, but Ihad told my wife that I would keep it for it's lifespan a I had basically paid it off.

Now I have to fight off her calls for something more family oriented.

If I do get another, I'll probably hold off until Spring and look for a late Fox body with low milelage.

Sorry to hear about your luck man.....I live in Stratford and would of made the trip up for the shifter as my girlfriend did her masters at Carlton and would have liked to see some friends Didn't read this until today though....

You could always by a family car....like a mercury marauder,,,,it only has 305hp lol
