Before I swapped to the 5.0 in my 99 the sound system sounded perfect. Had a nice bit of bass to it (not bad for the stock non Mach 460 setup).
Now, for some reason I get lots of distortion even at mid volume levels. The dash harness out of the my old 94 that I used in this car had the Mach 460 amp and wiring. I installed the bypass harness on my stereo which basically bypasses any and all factory amps and it did the same thing.
I'm at a loss here. I'm probably gonna have to run all new speaker wires because I'm not sure if something is touching or not. I doubt it since it worked perfectly in both cars prior to the swap. Could there be an issue mixing the Mach dash harness with a non Mach body harness?
If anyone has access to the wiring schematics on a 94/95 vert without Mach 460 I'd love to see it. And wiring for a 94/95 coupe WITH Mach 460. I need to make sure there's no kind of crossover/capacitor installed inline somewhere.
