if i got the 3 pod gauge cage that replaces the vents, would it hurt anything to turn the AC/heat on vent mode? i know i wont get any airflow through there but i would still get air out of the other two vents and wonder if it would hurt the cauges or pod in any way? THANKS!

I dont see any reason why it would hurt the guages. I dont think auto meter would make something in that spot so it wouldnt work acurately.

they have some guage cages that hold guages and also have partial vents in them, so it won't hurt anything to use your heat or whatever even though yours is blocked off. Go for it

There is a metal and foam plate that goes in there to block off the vent when you mount the panel so its not going to get any real air there anyway. And I have my sportcomp gauges on my nova mounted on the cowl for years where they were subject to sun, cold wind and rain and they are fine to this day. I wouldnt even worry about a little A/C or heat bothering them.

Right,It has a backing plate that blocks off the air from hitting the vents and redirects it to the side vents.Good choice on the cage.I debated on the dual and the triple.Looks factory.

It wasn't hard to run the wires.I ran them through right next to where the main harness goes through on the driverside. It took about an hour and a half to get all the wires ran and have everything mounted and working.

Only one shift light. The red one is an oil pressure light. And that AOD is actually a C4 with a 3500 stall.

All electric gauges.I like having electric gauges.I used to have a mechanical oil pressure gauge in my trans am and it leaked and the hose kept crimping and it was a pain.Maybe it was just me though.
