I would like to put Auto Meter 2 5/8 mechanical gauges in my car with my new motor (oil press./water temp.). I was thinkin of getting the vent mounted cage with smaller vents on the side. Do these gauges come with the right sized fittings to thread into my block and lower intake? It looks like the water temp hole is pretty big and might need an adapter. Anybody have these gauges installed? Need some info, thanks guys.

i dont know about that particular gauge, but often they come with adapters. if not you could order them or try the packages of fittings for gauges from the parts store.
good luck.

I got the 2 1/16 autometer manuals. They came with the correct fittings for my stang. You should have no problems.

If you get the guages for a mustang and not the universal ones you shouldn't have a problem hooking everything up. I had to make a T fitting to hook the oil pressure gauge to my stock oil pressure sending unit.

I needed to buy an adaptor for the water temp too. The oil press had all I needed, if I remember right.

I just got the same oil pressure gauge and it came with every thing I needed, but I bought a stainless oil line for it because I heard that the other plastic ones that come with it are no good. About the water temp, dunno.
