I saw an advertisement for Auto Meter's replacement instrument panel for Mustang GTs and was wondering if anyone had ever seen one in a car. It looks really good and visible in the catalog but I'm not sure what it would look like in a real car. If anyone has any info or experience, please share.

I've seen a couple at the local car shows. They look really nice, but are definitely "racey" looking. If you want that clean look, I wouldn't get them. I was thinking of getting them, but opted for white face instead.(Much cheaper as well!)

They def. stand out compared to the oem gauges. They add a nice look, but as said above if you want something subtle it's not the way to go! BTW, the cheapest I've seen them is on mustang tuning, and you get an additional 10% off b/c your on SN!

I don't know. Those gauges look clean to me. I think I might get the Simco ones in the future. It spices up a rather boring interior.

I like the guage cluster a lot - it really adds a 3-D look and goes perfectly with other autometer luinar guages like the fuel pressure and boost !!

What do you do with the factory gauges when you do this? Do you have to stuff the cluster somewhere or is it safe to unhook it? I wouldn't mind having a full custom gauge set but I like my odometer display...

While we're posting gauges, heres mine

you unplug them from the two harnesses that connect to them. you then tap into the wires on those two harnesses to get the signals for the autometer gauges. the speedo has an odometer but its naturally on zero whenever you get it.

How do you install the Autometer Cluster? The Simco requires you to swap your electronics onto their cluster. Are the Autometers the same?

no the guages are all individual autometer gauges. there are two harness that plug into the rear of the stock cluster. you remove the stock cluster and tap into wires on each of the two harnesses for signals to the autometer gauges. florida 5.0 provides all wire taps along with a diagram of what each wires does. the instructions are very detailed and helpful for the do it yourselfer.

at the top left of the home page click on guages, then go down to 1994/2000. you'll find what you need.

There is no pricing for a "CD/radio delete panel" whatsoever.

The original mileage will come up once the installation is done and the Stang is running. At least mine did.

Yes, the AutoMeter cluster is identical to the Simco one, except for the graphics on the dial faces.

Yes, you keep and reuse the odometer module, taking it from your factory cluster and moving it over to the Autometer cluster.
