Is it just me or does anyone else want to call RICE when disguising an automatic shifter as a manual?

But didnt you know? Everything you do to your car now is Rice. Change the bumpers, thats rice. Change wheels, thats rice, Add some stereo equipment, thats rice. I wouldnt doubt that itll get to the point of what kind of gas you put in your car or where you go to put gas in it will be called RICE!

i guess you could go rice because its kinda is posing for something you dont have--if you add the boot. but only too an extent because i mean our stock shifter is one of the ugliest things ever... so it may be more of "cleaning up the inside" as stated before--- either way ill be a RICER

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think it looks stupid .... plus a waste of $$ too (JMHO). If you really wanted your car to look like a manual, why didn't you buy one in the first place??

The stock shifter looks and works just fine for me.

Why don't you spend some cash on something that will actually make your transmission shift better and last longer (like a shift kit etc.) instead of a shifter that is nothing more than cosmetic?

you are one of the very few people that i havent heard complain about the looks of the stock shifter. i could spend money on the shift kit or somethign to that--but then id still be stuck with that ugly shifter...

its not like i want mine to look like a manual i just wnat adiffernt shifter--i doubt id get the boot.

Not really.
I like the boot cover cause im with Mike, the way the stock looks is pretty ugly. Not to mention itll cut back the "Nice car, but damn you got an auto !." from the tards that dont know any better.

But the boot on the Corvette doesn't cover up the PRND indicator.

Whatever floats your boat. Just as long as you don't act like an idiot and try to pass it off as a manual.

I would think only having 2 pedals as opposed to 3 would end that deception, especially when showing it off in person.

How many times have you checked the number of pedals someone has to make sure it's a stick?
