You only revised what you said cause people were tearing you a new butthole for what you said originally. It shouldnt take 3 or 4 guys disagreeing with you for you to know that a shift boot on an automatic is indeed not rice. Whatever though, its all good, I just hate how the term rice gets used way too much, especially in the wrong way.

Yeah, I gotta watch my step. I guess you automatic guys are free to kick me right in the ass, seeing how that left foot doesn't have anything else to do.

they are actually in stock now and can be shipped. if you want to buy a boot and relocate the overdrive ....

so people think you have a 5 speed i guess
(accorind to the rice police anyway

or so you can actually better the looks of the auto shifter which is what we intended on doing then the knob wil cost you 60.00.

if you need an overdrive bracket and switch then you need to buy it for an additional 30.00

so for 1994-1996 you just need the knob for 60.00

for 1997-2004 you will need wither the knob alone or the knob and overdrive bracket.

I understand the concept of not liking the shifter (and the e-brake handle, too). They are made of cheap plastic ... that's why I went with the aforementioned leather covers for them ( ). But the reason this thread is garnering such hate and discontent is that it is dancing around the premise that it is cool for automatics to PRETEND to be a manual. And the problem is that is ridiculous. So, either:
a) you made a poor buying decision and regret not getting the manual, OR
b) you buy into this "automatics are for girls" stuff that gets posted

I, personally, would prefer a manual, but for what I need of this car it has to me an automatic. What's wrong with that?? Ummm, nothing... that is exactly what I wanted, and there is no feeling to hide anything ... my car rocks -- I love it...

... and the new Gripper is on!

Well, just installed a grey gripper in the old 'Stang to replace the satin tee-handle and the new knob looks mighty good. If I can get the camera from work, I will try to post a pic.

ChingoChee:

It looks like the manual shifter Gripper on the MGWLtd.com website but the bottom section below the ball is black (very tasteful). I have the optional OD button on the shifter just below the new Gripper knob. No leather boot - I'm proud to have an auto! I'll get working on those pictures.

Stay tuned.
