Hi Guys! Great site! I just bought a 98 GT with only 77,000kms on the clock but I am having an issue with my shifter not wanting to allow me to shift it from park into gear. Yes, I know you have to have the brakes applied to shift before it will unlock but the majority of the time it still sticks and I have to sit there and frig around with it to get it out of park. The safety lockout seems to be sticky or something. Does anyone know how to disable this feature or fix it? I am not worried about not having it as I am the driver and we have no kids or anything like that. I just would like to be able to drive my car.
