Just curious if anybody had any experience with Autometer's Electric Speedos.

I'm thinking of their Sport-Comp #3987 3 3/8" electric speedo.
Because of my 4.11 gears I figure it might be worth the extra money for the electric speedo over a mechanical one to get it properly calibrated.

Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated

i have the electric speedo waiting to go in mine, i opted for the adjustability of the electric even though it's a little more $. you just push a button on the gauge to calibrate it, drive exactly two miles if you have a marked road or exit ramps and push the button again. also, you have to buy the ford pulse style sender but it should just plug right into your TKO.

I say do it. I like the idea of being able to re-calibrate your speedo. If you change diff gears or overall tyre height you can just re-calibrate it. So you don't have to compromise on changing wheels or tyres or diff gears based on you speedo being out.

You connect wires right to the pulse sender. No cable!

FYI If you have a TKO, there should be an electric pulse sender already there on the passenger side on the same spot of the trans. Then you just go get the $10 2 pin plug from Ford and plug in!

I should have the receipt since I just put the tko III in. I just did this myself. I'll see if I can find it in the morning. The guys at the dealer knew exactly what I wanted when I told them I needed the 2 pin pigtail to hook up the speedo on my tremec!!!
