Ok, so I am looking at replacing all of my gauges in the dash of my '90 Notch Race Car with this plate 87-93 Dash Plate and with that I am curious which gauges have to be electrical and which can be mechancal? I am wanting to have a Boost, Oil Pressure, Speedometer, Water Temp, A/F? and not sure what else.

I am not sure if the wiring harness is looking for signals from certain sensors or not, but I am also running an A9L computer with a Superchips custom chip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd use all the matching gauges to the stock compenents. They are all important.
Wouldn't waste my time on a novetly A/F gauge, maybe a wideband, but that ain't cheap. Then i'd mount the boost gauge on the pillar along with FP.
Do the minimal amount of gauges (as needed) and make them look the least obvious.

FP needs to be electrical to be in the car, the rest should be mechanical. I'm pretty sure none of the gauges have anything to do with the computer. All they do is read, they don't send.

BTW, there's much nicer plates to mount them in, the name escapes me at the moment, but i know for a fact that the ad is in 5.0 magazine (it's not in MM and FF)
