Interior and Upholstery Autometer vent gauges, painted?

Has anyone with the autometer center vent gauge holder with a gray interior ever painted the bracket that holds the gauges
gray to match the interior instead of leaving it black?

SEM presidio color coat is a great match if your interior is smoke grey. its actually the "paint" for your vinyl to make it match, however i used it on my mini tubs to match the interior and it is nearly spot on
