What will pass? im new here. and i was gonna sell the stang. but i broke a piston right beofr i left and id reather fix it and keep it. but i donno what will pass. id like to ahve a nice lil weekend car, you know a 331 stroker somehtign just to play with everynow and than. but what have you guys got away with?


it doesnt ahve any on it right now. no egr vavle or anyhtign. the check engein light is one, am i screwed?

Yeah, if your check engine light is on, you are def. screwed. Pre 96 cars are subject to a sniffer test, so you gotta have converters and all the spog equipment on there.

In Travis and Williamson counties all gasoline powered vehicles from 2 through 24 years old which are registered or primarily operated in these counties will receive an emissions test in conjunction with the annual safety inspection.

1995 and older vehicles will receive the Two Speed Idle (TSI) test while 1996 and newer vehicles receive the On-Board Diagnostic(OBDII) test."

It can be tuned to pass. You will have to get a tweecer or some kind of chip that can toggle tunes. On a 96+ they run the comp and on 95 older they put it on rollers and run the car.

im jsut gonna sell it. i foudn someone that wants it and will pay for half the new motor so i cant really pass it up. ill jsut find a truck or soemhting here, maybe a trans am. or cobra. i donno ill figure that out later
