A guy at work is going to sell me a pair of 335/35/17s for $350. I have my black Bullitts on the way with the deep dishes for the rear, as well as a set of 4.30s and a bearing and shim kit. Once all is together, is the first launch going to obliterate my axle? I've just about completely spent my reserve of cash on all of this, so it would be a while before the next mods happen.
A bonus question, out of sheer curiosity. Why is a spool for an old 8" axle so much cheaper than one for an 8.8? I was looking for a spool or locked diff, and was shocked to see how much just a simple spool was for the 8.8. Now, if I had an extra $500, I'd buy an E-locker
