Where can I host a video of my car idling so people can hear what a B303 hears like? People have asked what B303 sounds like. And I now have video I can share, so people can hear it.

B303 Cam, 1.72 Roller Rockers, 3.73 gears, Steeda Tri-Ax, MAC 1 5/8" Equal Length Shorty Headers, MAC 2 1/2" Catalytic H-pipe, MAC 2 1/2" Cat-Back.

when you think about it, the B cam isnt really that aggressive of a grind. I have it and absolutely love it. Could I have chosen a better piece, yes , but it sounds like a maniac just at idle. You never hear the same lope. 3K and above, it screams. I like mine

Last night I had my car idling while I made the video and I was thinking about how much of a 60's muscle car kind of a sound cam actually makes. It really doen't sound like a 5.0. I know a guy that had a B303 in a 302 with a carb and it sounded even more like a 60's hot street cam idleing down at like 600-700 rpm.

Do you guys have any trouble with the idle set at 600-700rpm, i cant get mine to idle right at that rpm, have to have it set at 900-1000rpm but it does sound sick!!! i love when you pull up to a light and people have to have a look!!!

My friend had the idle set at 600-700 but it was carb and that was the "in gear" idle. In nuetral it idled at 900-1000. His motor was well tuned by another friend of ours that has forgot more about carbs than I'll ever know.

My convertible idles at about 800-900 with the EFI and the B303.

ditto. I have the B303 in my GT; it was idling around 600-700 and sounded awesome because it sounded like it was about to die, which made it sound that much better, but anyway I had problems at stop lights and stuff. Because of it "almost dying," the IAB had to search to keep it idling, so it increased the problem and I would usually have to hold the gas at a steady 1000+ rpm to keep it running at lights (sometimes). I got the IAB spacer plate and it bumped the idle up a little to around 800-900 or so and it has ran fine for the little bit that I've driven it.

It really doesn't have much lift at all (.480), but I believe it's the overlap that causes the "lope." I don't know a lot about cams, but have tried to learn a little. Most of it confuses the hell out of me when I'm reading. If anyone knows of a "cams for dummies" thing, let me know :nice:

Nope, mine idles are 600-650 whether I want it to or not! Regardless it sounds great.
