HUH???

I,m guessing that you need to pull the distributor and clock it so the TFI doesnt hit the manifold. I guess you were trying to get the timing right so it would run correctly?

I never would have even fathomed doing that.

Well timing is my second concern...

My primary concern is determining if I have the correct Distributor cap? I highly doubt I was supposed to chip a piece of the cap to make it fit?

Try running higher octane gas if you havent already it might help fix the problem.

flip the cap around. the cap should have a part that protrudes out for that line. like on the cap in this pic...

Lol!

Why would you buy a cap off of Ebay? BTW, I would highly recommend to check your timing after you put the new cap on. Also, fender is looking good.hehe

On screen it looks like the right cap to me, I had that same MSD cap. It just looks like its on backwards.

What they said.

Mine's a tight fit w/my Typhoon intake even when correct.

FYI: I have a sick chrome powdercoat PS pulley to match the rest of your shiny setup there better than what you've got. LMK, you can have the Stangnet discount

Apparently the MSD letters are meant to be viewed through a clear hood from the driver's seat (it's upside down on mine, as viewed from in front of the car).
