backfiring

Any help for backfiring

my car back fires when i down shift and someone told it might be a bent push rod or worn lobe on the cam shaft. wanted to get some other opitions. thanks shane

I wouldn't guess that at all.

Does this happen during any downshift or really hard downshifts?

it happen during hard downshifts and some regular down shift
