Parking Break Cable Snaped

So as you can see by the title about 2 weeks ago. When I was parking, I pulled on my E-break and Snap. The cable broke. So now I have to figure out how to remove the console so I can remove the cable and replace it. I can't find my service manual. but it seems pretty simple. Is there a trick to getting the console out? From all I can see there are 2 bolts by the shifter. But then again I could be way off. Any pointers? Thanks

Removing the console is easy.....

1. Remove shift knob.

2. Remove shifter bezel.

3. Remove the 2 screws you referred to.

4. Two tiny rubber grommets under console lid. Pry them out.

5. Remove 2 screws under the grommets.

6. Remove the entire insert that you just loosened. (lift front first)

7. Remove 2 screws in bottom of console (may need extension).

8. Lift entire console out.

i just removed mine... and that musta been straight outta the manual. Cuz he said it all, you shouldn't need anything else.

I had to pull my ebrake as far up as possible, i repeat as far up as possible! and work the slot for the ebrake around the handle, thats just a tip tho.
