Going down RT 39 today and All of a sudden there is a concrete block in the middle of my lane, cars in oncoming lane so I STUPIDLY centered the car on the block, SMASH!!! car JUMPED wife screamed, ,,,, I pulled over and looked under the car for the worst, Well the back of my deep oil pan took a good hit and also the B&M transmission pan had some fins smashed off, but NO leaks.
Took it home and pulled over my pit and it took some good lumps but its all OK.
AAAHHHHhh resting better now.......

Glad to hear damage is minimal

That's gotta put a lump in your throat. My wallet hurt just reading your post!

Glad to hear it's just superficial.

Been There

Going about 75 one night in my 93 GT on the interstate and hit a landscaping rock. The car is low to begin with and it decapitated one of my flowmasters and bent the h-pipe. Scared me to death!

I ran over a dead skunk one nite with my lowered Chevy pickup. The darn thing hung on the exhaust crossover pipe and really stunk up the truck. Then I ignorantly pulled it into my attached garage and stunk up the house. Sweet.

I had to replace the oil pan plug and gasket as it took a good hit. I also straightened the surface where the gasket seats. I found a good dent in the one pipe but it will be ok for now. I think if I was going faster I would have cleared it so this weekend I might install my NOS 250 shot to see what it will break!
