Bad Dizzy Or Malfunctioning Dizzy Possibly?

just wondering what are the signs of a bad dizzy or one that might be on it's last leg if there is such a term? My car after I set the idle a few wks ago drove like it was a new car when I drove after setting idle. Now I have noticed cranking the car sounds like it takes just a hair , maybe split second longer and seems like the crank itsn't as strong, isn't as powerful sounding though it still cranks and sounds ok just not as strong as I know it used to. Also have a low rpm jerk/buck, slight miss until I take off. Everything is up to date as far as plugs wires, fuel filter, cleaned MAF and cleaned IAC about 3-5 months ago, cleaned tb after taking off upper intake. Googling said some things about how with the cams especially the alphabet cams and 94-95 cars you will just have that buck and jerk but since 02 I noticed my car didnt always do it. Seemed like after setting idle and tps those things went away. I notice the car drives nice and strong now, shifts thru rpms fast but just has that low rpm buck slight miss. I used the idle set procedure using the idle bypass screw and a procedure I actually saw here on this forum which is pretty much the same as the professional products tb that I have calls for

Possible dizzy but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet. Have you checked for a vacuum leak? What is the timing set to? While you are doing these for free things check all the power and ground terminals. Bad connections here can cause a lot of unexpected issues.

I've seen this problem before. If you have a bad ground for a long while it affects your computer. I had exactly the same problem ( low speed miss that drove me nuts) I put it on the dyno even with no success. Finally it quit totally on my way to Whiskey Cafe car show. Fredo at Valley Performance had a shop A9-L & we installed it. Presto problem solved. 5.0 Resto had it in stock I think it was around 275$ hope this helps. Ron

for the other poster earlier yes checked for vacuum leaks, timing is at 10. Pretty sure all grounds and stuff are good and tight but will double check everything.

are you saying you found a loose ground as well and fixed that too?

More than just tight. Check for corrosion under the cable sheathing. Have you pulled the codes to see what the PCM is logging? I would not recommend going to the A9L computer.

I recommend u borrow a buddy's computer box, install it and drive it a few miles. It only takes a few minutes. If it still misses at low speed at least u have eliminated one possible problem. With these things u need to think like Sherlock Holmes. Eliminate the possibilities, till u solve the problem

pulled codes few wks ago but since setting idle as last thing I did after pulling codes I don't think I rechecked the codes. I might have but was going to double check them anyway
