bad fuel pump or IAC

99' g.t ....so heres what happens I press clutch, turn the key it turns on momentarily revs up as usual then drops within two seconds of turning key and shuts off . I can however, keep the car running so long as i press the gas pedal. Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to Stangnet.
The same thing happened to me when my IAC went bad.
The IAC went bad after 60K miles.My check engine light
came on too.I had to install a replacement Motorcraft IAC valve and clear the code all was fine after that.
I highly subjest you go with a Motorcraft replacement IAC valve and not a cheap off brand.A IAC is one part I
would never go cheap on.Good luck I hope you fined the fix.

my guess is a bad IAC.

Id put money on the IAC. Clean it out with some brake cleaner/carb cleaner, if that fixes it, you know its your problem. Then get a new one soon.

Pull the code, most likely IAC, does the car have the original fuel filter?

hey got it all fixed thanks everyone it was the IAC getting a new one got carb cleaner in the old one for now going to get code pulled as well thanks a lot later
