We just bought a 94 GT vert.
When I make some left turns with a bump or give it gas in turn........I get this weird rub that sounds like "uuummm" coming from the rear end of car.
I felt the tranny tunnel and it transmits a vibration throught tunnel to my hand when it happens?
If I do the slalom manuver...right to left hard while drining down a empty sterre I can get it to do it.......it almost seems as if the rear end is shifting and causing the noise?????
Or mabey the springs are bottoming and it is rubbing across the snubber??? That seems very unlikely though.
I felt the rear upper control arms and I can wiggle them slightly.....is this normal or should they be tight and not able to wiggle at all?
Any help is appreciated.
PS: also the trac loc is shot....found this out.....Could that be the thing making the noise????? by shot, I mean with one wheel up and one on ground, I can easily spin the tire in the air
