So I posted on here a few weeks back about how the new TKO and clutch setup was squealing. Well as we all thought it's definately a bad throw out bearing. We took the car back to the mustang shop and they put the car on a rack to show us where the problem was - one of the teeth was bent I believe they said - a bad part. Keep in mind I ordered ALL the parts from a reputable guy out of FL who claims he supplys racing transmissions to EVERYONE in the U.S. - the mustang shop just told me to call him directly and get him to send the parts - they do all their biz through him. The guy at the parts joint starts laying into me taking shots saying " in all 50 of these cases, it's been bad installation as the problem when people start calling up here complaining it was a bad throw out bearing" Then he procedes to lecture me about some fake reason why it's a bad install like - they didn't tighten a screw or something...So I take the shots, hang up and call the mustang shop. The guy there was like okay, just bring it in tomorrow and we'll look at it - to which we discovered like I outlined above - something was bent on the throwout bearing.
So, the owner of the shop was like I know this guy, we do a lot of biz, I'll call him and see if he can get another part over here...this was two weeks ago. So I've been forced to drive my car with the bad squeaking on a new clutch and tranny and I am concerned if I am damaging my clutch at all. Well I gave the stang shop another call and the guy who sold the parts is unreachable for days according to the stang shop( he allegedly is moving shops to a new location) so I am just wondering what I should do here....
The mustang shop is being cool about it, but that still doesn't get my car fixed and stop me from wasting my time - do I need to be concerned that 3 weeks of a bad throw out bearing may have done other damage - the shop claims it won't, but that's what I would say if I knew my shop was caught in the middle of something...
The owner I think initially talked to the guy and said since he's relocating his shop near the mustang shop he could drive the part up and take a look at he old one - but this is over two weeks ago...so It's like I am supposed to chill around while this guy drives from another start to inspect a part that's clearly bad???
Keep in mind I threw the parts guy $3,000 and another $500 for the install
ADVICE PLEASE!!!!
