I found a set of J180 Baer calipers from an 05+ Mustang kit (kit #1261159) , does someone have a link on how these may work on a fox with SN95 Cobra brakes. Thanks in advance!

Maybe @Mustang5L5 can help you.
My car don't go fast enough to need brakes

Would require custom made adapter brackets. Unaware that anyone has run these.

I have seen newer Brembo setups run, but the adapter setups were $400+ alone and I think are no longer made.

That's also a lot of braking power for a light car without ABS

I see, well, I traded about $300 worth of parts for it. You guys think I could get that back? Is it worth it to find the brackets?

I had a set of these w 14in rotors on my old Mach 1, I understand what you're saying about a lot of braking power, I had experienced it in that car.

I plan on having ingredients an EFI 408w in the car, so a little better brskes than the cobra wouldn't hurt, I thought

It's this setup right?

Calipers plus rotors? If so, it's definitely worth $300

The calipers are C5/c6 style calipers. Baer does sell the brackets to adapt them to the sn95 spindle, but with a 13" rotor.

14" setup will require brackets. I don't know who is making them anymore.

If the parts are in good, clean shape, I bet you could get $500 or more for them. I believe it's a $1400 kit new

Yes it's that, but just the calipers and caliper brackets. I was actually just trying to help out a friend of mine with some odds and ends and he gave this to me in return. Either it's worth it or not, I'm ok with it.

Brackets are useless to you.

Baer does sell brackets to work with SN95 spindle.

P/N CBK322325. $135 each

You can then run the cobra 13" rotor with them and it's all bolt on

Will look something like this, except say Baer since they use the same PBR castinh

However, you are spending $280 shipped for the correct brackets. I think you said you already had cobra brakes, so you can reuse your rotors, and possibly the brake lines

They are an upgrade over the c4/Cobra style caliper. Stiffer, more swept pad area, cheaper pads. Is it That much better than a cobra caliper? Prob will never see a difference unless you open track. I did it anyway

Unsure if you would be able to find a buyer for the 2005+ brackets. I could be wrong though. I'd try fishing the caliper brackets on eBay first if you want to try to run them. You could also sell your cobra calipers.

Unless you're bored and really want a project, I'd keep the Cobra brakes. Unless you're hauling a trailer.

That's the plan, I have less than 5k miles on my cobra front set up. And oh, forgot to mention it does come with hoses too, but it's for 2005 and up, I think.

I used to autocross a bit, I want to go back into doing it soon, but like u said the only thing about the cobra I don't like is the small sweep area, specially for a 13" rotor.

Well if you want to go forward with it, it will definitely be more unique than the common cobra PBR.

You should post a pic of the calipers just to confirm but they are basically identical PBR castings to the c5/c6 and 05/06 GTO. That means if you ever need parts in the future (pads, clips, pins, boots) you can source parts for those cars rather than going direct to Baer.

If you have any questions you can PM me directly
