Bait and switch...who's experienced it?

Oh and i've always used parts store water pumps. Never had a problem with them. Got one on my stroker right now.

+1

A water pump is one of those things that I absolutely don't care to spend a lot of money or time on. If it works, it works, and the last two I've had on my car were parts store water pumps. I only replaced the last one because the engine was out of the car and it was cheap insurance. The old one was still working just fine.

Now, if I were to do an electric water pump, that's a different story.

This is why i just goto ford and buy parts.

You can go to the dealer and 9 out of 10 it will have a Ford logo (or sticker) but not made by Ford. Those days are long gone. Ford does not make anything. They hire other Companies to do it for them.

The Company I was a sales rep for 15 years, they made Ford-Master Cylinders, Water Pumps, Calipers, Power Steering Pumps, CV Axles, ECC's, Rack / Pinion, might even be more now.

I'm stepping in late but I bought a ford racing water pump about 2yrs ago and it looked nothing like that junk one with the sticker on it and for what its worth, pretty easy to print a sticker and put it on a junk WP. I can take a pick of the pump on my motor but it had the ford part # stamped on it and looked more like the one in the big pic he posted w/o the sticker part #. The last few sets of motorcraft brake rotors and pads have come from mexico but then again i don't think it's anything new and the quality was fine even the ford dizzy in my stang was from mexico and it's been fine for 3yrs. they have to make it to Ford specs, highly doubt ford would allow real low quality crap, yeah some poor casting on intakes but it will still flow..they come from the factory that way. hell they let a mustang out the door with truck heads :D

Here we go Lars!!! Can't wait to get it on!
