Guys, Ive recently purchased a 89 GT with a s-trim and will begin suspension mods in the spring. Im a novice at best in getting a car setup properly in terms of handling.

It will basically be a street car mostly heading to the local strip. But I want to keep the setup balanced so I can road coarse/autox it every now and then.

I was hoping to get some suggestions on setting up the car to be capable of having fun in both aspects.

1st thing in the spring Im gonna convert to 5lug and upgrade to a aftermarket disk brake kit, front and rear. In terms of suspension Im completly confused. Any help appreciated!!

Sounds like you need some good adjustable shocks. MAybe a coil over kit.

Definately want to upgrade the control arms/bushings. Subframe Connectors are a must.

Id go with 96 spindles on the 5 lug. They dont create as much bump steer as SN95 spindles do on a lowered car. And will only widen the front track by 0.50" or less ~8mm.

thanks guys. Ive got the subframes sitting and waiting for spring. I will check out the MM stuff.

I just want to make the right decisions the first time if possible.

Thank again

I just like the fact that MM explains how they design their product and how it works so well.

I only have their CC plates right now, but the fit/finish is perfect.
I plan on getting some more of the suspension components in the near future.

Yup, I was just checking out there packages. Looks like top notch stuff. I also forgot that I have a set of CCplates also that came with the car but are not yet installed.

The steering is definately vague on this thing so that will need an upgrade also.
