Ball Joint Replacement. SN95 or Fox?

Here’s the Gist. 86 Mustang. 5 lug conversion using SN95 parts. Thinking about replacing ball joints to the correct SN95 shorter joint. Do they press into the stock 89 control arms? Do they make a difference? Are they better? Right now I have to stack washers to make sure I do not run out of threads.

Is there a benefit to running the SN95 joints as opposed to Fox ones, besides the height difference. For instance. SN95 Hubs are sealed unlike the Fox ones. Do the ball joints have any radical changes between years?

I called Maximum Motorsports today and they told me to run SN95 Cobra Ball Joints in my control arms. They also said that it does not matter whether I use SN95 or Fox Ball Joints, and there is no difference in them beside the height. Anyone else have any advice which kind to throw in my stock control arms?

Yeah, you could buy the Ford Motorsports new A Arms and they already have updated balljoints and new bushings and the price is right too.

I already have poly bushings pressed in. I have also boxed the front arms. So I just need the ball joints.

I used the MOOG brand ones for a 95 Mustang with my SN95 conversion. Fit just fine.

no differance besides running the spacer with the fox balls.

I say buy the cheaper of the two, as long as it is MOOG or NAPA Precision.
