BAND ADJUSTMENT

Is there an external band adjustment for a c6 trans on a 68?
If so where is it and how do you adjust?Transmission has a slip
when shifting from 2 to 3 and want to try everything that may
be causing this before I have to pull it.

Yes.

There is a band adjustment on the left side (near but above and forward of the selector if i recall correctly.)

It has a large jamb nut which has a seal made into it. You are supposed to replace the jamb nut.

"Loosen and discard the jamb nut"
"Tighten the adjusting screw to 120 inch lbs (10ft lbs)"
"Loosen the adjusting screw exactly 1.5 turns"
"install new lock nut and tighten to 40 ft lbs while holding the adjustment screw to keep it from turning."
