Yeah, they're clearly angled as a result of the GPs trying to "close up" in the middle.
I encountered the same issue w/ the hacked up plates I had to make for the Monster. Try dealing w/ two studs that are angled in different directions, using a guideplate that had to be cut and sectioned.
Have you tried to slowly tighten each stud, then ck by setting the rocker on and adjusting the guideplates if you need to tapping them w/ a drift punch after you get it tight enough to hold the adjustment?
I was just about driven crazy by the last one on my head, because it would move just as I got it tight enough to really crank on.
