Im planning on getting something new for my car soon i dont wanna spend too much maybe 6 or 7 hundred. My 95 is pretty much much stock with over 200k miles with a fresh rebuilt t-5 with a 2.95 1st gear and a cobra rear end pullys and a k&N. I got one guy tring to sell me an performer RPM for 350 so i was leaning toward that but i wpould like as many opinions as i can get. Thanks! this is my 1st post here

You said a cobra rear, but what gears are in it?

If it's 3.55 or 'better', I'd say go for a mid-pipe and back exhaust setup.

If you have something like 3.08s, go for a better gear like 3.73.

If you could get that performer for 350...

Performer = 350
Adapter Elbow = 100
Pullies = 100
Full Length Subframes plus welded installation = 150

There's seven hundred right there, for a power and handling increase you'll feel.

Subframe connectors welded in for sure.

IF the ride in your stang is really worn and just plain stinks, consider the Bullitt suspension kit as a "better than stock" upgrade. You'll enjoy the ride so much more. Cost is around $400 IIRC for the kit: springs, shocks, struts, swaybars, possibly endlinks.

A new mid-pipe will improve the sound and add some more power to your car. Deciding between an H or an X is all up to what sound you like best.

If you've got the stock shifter, consider an upgrade like the Pro 5.0. That short shifter has totally improved the fun I have in my car, not to mention never missing a shift.

On the non-performance, but all-important ideas......consider a tune-up, clean the MAF sensor, fix the ground connections (DIY for $20 or less), new brake fluid, and replace other fluids and coolant hoses. How old is the serpentine belt? These aren't sexy mods, but sure make owning the car more enjoyable and reliable. Don't forget to Seafoam your intake/fuel while you're at it.

Since your new, what octane gas are you using? If your motor is stock, don't waste money and power on 91/93 octane.

If you consider full length subfame connectors, check the condition of your subframes first. I bought some weld in connectors, but when I wanted them installed everyone wants $300 or more to install them because my subframes are beat up from jackstand use... They wont weld right on smoothly I guess.

Interesting. I hadn't even thought of that. I had mine put on years ago, probably before my car had ever been touched by a jack.
