What is the difference between the Bassani SS and the BX system? Is it just the material it's made of? Do they sound the same? Basically, i'm on a budget and REALLY want a catback, but don't know if the extra $300 is worth it for stainless steel, I live in cali and the car doesn't see snow very much if at all, but I do drive in the rain a lot. Would that affect the BX system at all? Thanks.

The systems sound the same. Bx comes with an 18 Month warranty I believe while the SS is lifetime.

Is it really worth the price difference? Also, 1 more question, I thought* I saw that the SS had 4" tips, and the BX had 3.5" tips...is this true?

My SS has 3.5" tips. Also, the SS comes with exhaust baffles which allow you to "tune" if you will, your exhaust note in a few minutes. I dont think the Bx comes with them. Now, is that alone worth the extra $$, I would say no. I got SS bc I live in a place that gets lots of rain and I'll be moving back to PA where the roads get horrible during winter, so I wanted the SS. Really didnt cost me much out of pocket though bc I sold my old system for $425 and put that towards the Bassani.

They sound the same and also, the only Bassani systems that come with 4" tips are the 03-04 catbacks

Save the money and get the BX man.

Doesn't the BX come with at least SS tips?

From what I know about exhuasts, I would think the PC and Bassani cb could be one of the deepest sounding...not the loudest, but possibly one of the deepest. I want something that not everyone has, and after having an integra...I want a deep v8 rumble.
