Hey I'm new here and this is my first post, but anyway here we go. I have an '02 GT with Magnaflow cat-back as far as pipes go and I was thinking about picking up a set of Bassani optimum length headers. I was wondering if any of ya'll know if he stock H-pipe can be used with these or if an X-pipe from bassani is necessary. I ask because even though I plan on buying both eventually, i dont have the money for both right now. So I guess a second part of the question would be can I buy and install the X now and buy the headers later. Just trying to figure out what to do with this month's Mustang budget. Any knowledge about this would be greatly appreciated.

I would think that it could be done. Your best bet is to call Bassani. They were very friendly and answered all of my questions. The headers are very nice though. If you don't have to use cats I would suggest getting the Dr. Gas off-road X. That is what I will be upgrading to.

No need to worry about cats in Alabama here so ill be going wih off-road . Is Dr. Gas supposed to be better power-wise? How does it sound?
