Bassani O/R X pipe

What you need is a breaker bar (or a cheater pipe to put over the end of your ratchet) to get leverage. Remember, leverage is your friend. Next, you need a 6 or 9 inch extension. Try to use 3/8ths drive because 1/2 is harder to get into the passenger side. I don't know exactly how a 97's exhaust is setup compared to 99+, but all I needed other than those tools was a swivel. Our nuts on the midpipe are 15mm so maybe yours are too. Just get a good angle on the nuts before you try to loosen them and use a little WD-40 if they won't break loose.
What he said.
But also, save yourself a LOT of grief and get a swivel socket for getting the midpipe out... I "misplaced" some of my tools in a move, and didnt have the swivel head, and it was horrible, would have been easy with the socket!

Okay here's a question, I really like the Bassani X pipe mixed with the Borla cat back, but I have a 98 GT 5-speed and I can't find a listing for the borla for a 98 anywhere, can you guys help point me in the right direction?
