BBK CAI install question/issue

Barnesville Pa.
I just installed a BBK fender CAI kit in my car.
No matter how I shift it around or angle the tubes
I cant seem to get the tube that goes from the MAF
sensor to the throttle body intake to stop rubbing off
the front strut tower.
There seems to be about a 1/8 inch of clearance between
the two and when the car idles it occasionally hits the body.
I do have Cobra uppers and lowers on it, Im not sure if that is
a issue. Im thinking that these are designed for a factory type
replacement.
I could probably cut off a little on the pipe and that may buy
me a little more clearance.
Has anyone else had this issue before ??

Thanks for all the replies on this.
My motor mounts arent the best but, until I can get them
changed I was looking for a temporary fix for the CAI.
I wanted to make sure I wasnt alone in my thought about
cutting some of the pipe off to make more clearance.

Thanks...

I had the same bbk cai with a Cobra intake. It will fit fine. Your mounts must be toast.

I took it off though because I didn't like it. Put the stock airbox and think it looks much better.

Mine is doing the same. Thought maybe mounts were shot but havnt seen anybody else mention that until this page. Yall think thats it? just got the car. Mounts didnt look great but would it really sag that much to effect that. I knew cutting into the tube was a ghetto fix. Its supposed to bolt right up.
