So i melted my old clutch cable with my headers when i did them so i bought a 100 dollar bbk adj. cable and it lasted me 11 months and now it snapped tonite about 4 inches from where it attaches to the quadrant. I bent the mount near the headers so the cable wouldnt melt again and i cant figure out why it broke so quick. Good thing it broke pulling out of my driveway and not shifting at 5700 rpm. Any tips on getting more life out of these things other than checking for sharp edges? Btw i have a king cobra clutch that is stiff, but the cable was smooth. any ideas?
