Anyone remember this? I was flipping through an old MMFF (august 98) and saw the bbk instacharger. I have never heard of this before and it looks wild! Its a roots style blower, but it mounts around where the MAF area is. Just wondering if anyone else has ever seen it before. Obviously they dont make it anymore...

It uses an Eaton M90.

I think it's cool too and I'm surprised that more people did not do it. This is not my car.

That guys name is Jim bowy on here and that is not the instacharger kit. That is custom. BTW to get his to fit, he beat on the strut tower, not something recommended.

Thats called an instacharger? Ive heard of that before. I saw that picture before and I just thought someone custom fabbed up an eaton. I didnt know it was a kit

What's the benefit of having it there other than it's unique? just slap that B a lower manifold and go.

It produced only 70hp on its best day and never really sold well. You could get a Paxton blower for $1k less and produce more power and easier to maintain and install back in the day.

Yea, the article i read had a h/c/i and blower. It made less than 400 horse but over 400 ft/lb of torque
