Hello peeps im having a serious problem with my 89 h-back. So im trying to diagnose the problem. I have a few simple questions. Do you have a bbk fenderwall intake on your stang? And does your engine begin to stumble when you disconnect the mass air flow sensor. when i remove the mass air flow sensor on my mustang, the vehicle stays on, and doesnt even stumble (more than it already is) Is this normal or is the car supposed to shut off. Thanks for the help peeps. Please reply...i need all the help i can get.

Question Bro!

I have a 1989 hatch 5.0, when the car is under load it stumbles pretty bad. It feels like it has a bad sparkplug wire, but it does not. They're brand spankin' new. However, when I get to 2000 rpm in 3rd gear (automatic) the car runs good as new. I've been having this problem for about 3 months not, and i can figure it out. Thanx for your time. Hopefully you can throw some hints at me.

Yeah, always check for codes first. It's possible to have stored codes without the check engine light being on. Code readers are pretty cheap ($30), or there's a free method that's detailed in quite a few posts on here. jrichker's got a good write-up.

Do a search for "check codes" or "pull codes" and you should find the write-up.
