I have an 03 mach 1 that I just put a flowmaster american thunder 2 chamber cat back on. I also bought a bbk offroad xpipe but havent put it on yet. I love the sound of the flows but want it to be a little louder. Debating on if I should put that x-pipe on or get a catted one. It seems a little hollow sounding now like not much back pressure. Im wooried about having the exaust be to free flowing and losing power? anyone noticed a gain or decrease with this combo? the rest of the car is stock. I would really like to use it since I already bought it, but not if is gonna lose power or sound like crap. I lnow it will be loud and thats not a problem but will it retain the same sound? thanks

i love that drill instructor.

anyway, ditch the bbk. they don't sound all that good. If you want an off road magnaflow or dr. gas may be a better choice for you. If you want it little louder than what you have now i suggest the catted pipe. Hence the off road will give you more power and louder sound at wot.

Ya, i agree about the BBK. i have heard it doesnt sound all that well. My vote goes to the Dr. Gas  i think one of the most underrated xpipes is the one i have from Mustangtuning.com. It sounds really good w/ the Flows and is surprisingly smooth sounding. Even the guy who installed it thought it was smooth sounding. For the price, u cant beat it. once i get my laptop working (f'ing virus), i will try and post a video of my exhaust :flag:

oh yeah, i forgot to mention. the VRS x-pipe is a good one. they make an aluminzed steel version and a stainless steel version. good prices.

the VRS and the UPR xpipe are basically the same, so u can just see which is cheaper. the mustangtuning xpipe is the same design as well, just with a reinforcement plate at the junction (where the X forms)
