BBK or Accufab?

for a 75mm TB which one is better the accufab or the BBK unit... i would think they would be EXACTLY the same since they both bolt up to stock stuff and are both 75mm... but we all know that that is never true.

what makes it better? i dont like "its just better" is one actually made using a better process or is one made out of another material or is one made by midgets that are high on coke and using moonbounce shoes to work on them???

Ok.. well after you've search and read all of the countless threads on this topic, you'll find that there are minimal differences in horsepower. Therefore, the only difference that makes one better than the other is user preference. I prefer accufab because it looks better than the rest and is proven to consistently perform in the top of the pile.

9 times out 10 you get what you pay for. So if you pay for the most expensive one its usually the better one. Asfar as perfomance and over all quality

I believe in the 'You get what you pay for' approach but only to a certain extent.

How much better is the Accufab? 7 rwhp vs 8 rwhp? 10 vs 11 rwhp? Even the test on Modular Depot rated them within 1-2 rwhp of each other. Is that extra horsepower worth the extra $200? I'd rather put that $200 towards getting better tires or something.

why do you want a 75mm tb? upgrading that without an intake upgrade of some kind is not something that is really going to be worth the money.

I would look for flow numbers that will answer you question. I have always heard that accufab is better but I got my plenum and TB of ebay and is is an accufab plenum with with BBK TB. I just like the price I got. a TB is a road hole machined in an oppening with a butterfly. given the same flow I would let my wallet decide. I have had no performance issues with the BBK but I don't have any way of knowing if it performs as well as the accufab. I would be the $130 I saved would offset any 1hp difference there may be.

The Accufabs are more expensive but IMO they're worth the extra cost. The polished ones really look great if you're trying to make your engine bay look good too!

It's not just about horsepower differences between the units... it's also about build quality. I bought a MAC 75mm TB and within a couple weeks dumped it and bought an Accufab. Big difference in feel on the throttle.

its not like im just going to put a TB on and thats it... im just researching things as i go down the line of parts... so if i can get the accufab for not much more then ill get that but if its more than 30-40 bucks more then ill get the BBK...
