I recently finneshed installing gt-40 heads and a b303 cam in my friends 1995 gt. he bought the $200 bbk valve covers. they did not fit at all. i ended up having to grind the insides in some places to fit his a351 fms 1.6 roller rockers. i finnaly got them to fit but then my alternator did not fit and i had to go back to grinding. fortunately they are thick cast aluminum. when he bought them he was told that they would fit 94-95 but they do not fit without some customizing. i'm looking for some for my car does anyone know what valve covers would fit. the stock ones were to narrow and would not work we were told that this was because we were using stud mounted rockers. any opinions?

Well to make the stock ones fit you need the double thick cork gaskets from felpro, to raise them up enough. I did that for a while. Theni got Anderson For Motorsport valvle Covers. They bolted right up cleared(just barely) my RPM intake manifold and my SN95 TB elbow. The quality is marginal at best, but what do you want for 68 bucks.

BBK seems to have a lot of problems with fit and finish, and I try so hard to like them, 2 of the 4 threads on the header where the collector and mid-pipe meet where completely a$$-bagged and I didn't have and tap and die (sp?) also 2 of the header bolt's threads were completley ****ed up but luckily my friend, who had the same problem with his BBK headers, had already had to buy extra header bolts, not to mention the h-pipe hung about 2 inches from the ground on a stock heighted car. whatev.

I had 1.72's on my old car and I had the FMS tall alluminums on it. I also had those on my 94gt which had stock rockers. They look nice but you need an intake spacer and a dremel to make it work right.
