So are you satisfied with your pro-chamber......I have never heard of any complaints about them.......does anybody own or heard a Mac X pipe? If so what did it sound like.....

I've had the MAC X for a couple of years now. It's very similiar to the UPR or VRS pipe. I've installed or helped install all three. They all sound good with Flowmasters BTW The BBK and Basanni have the "rattle" with Flowmasters

Hahaha....suddenly all that "rasp" that so many people were bitching about doesn't sound like such a bad thing now after watching that, does it?

You're right, it sounds pretty good to me

That's pretty much how it would sound with a BBK O/R X-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers?

Keep in mind that the 3v sounds different than a 2v or 4v. My buddy has the BBK O/R X with Flows on his 2v and there is actually more rasp than that video of the 3v. I posted that just as an example of rasp. If I can describe it, rasp sounds like someone spilled BBs in your tailpipe and they are bouncing around in there.

bbk sounds like crap and so is the quality,I had one on mine and replaced it with a pro-chamber.The bbk x-pipe is raspy and you might have to get some parts re-welded cause the welds suck and can leak in some spots. If you still want one that bad I can send you mine. Its your for $20 and shipping.

IMO <<< Disclaimer 1st: H-pipe sounds good with chambered mufflers and X-pipe sounds good with straight-through mufflers.

Remember: H-pipe = Metallica and X-pipe = Hip Hop

I just put a BBK O/R x pipe and 40 series on my 01 GT with 30 days last week. I get the weirdest look from people on decel when my sound goes from ok to the exhaust sounding like the muffler has scrap metal in it. At first we thought it was my stock mufflers since i had the x pipe first, but the Flowmasters just made it louder of a rattle. What would you guys suggest to get rid of it? Ive heard 2 things so far...straight throughs or switch to catted x pipe or h pipe. A buddy of mine had the short bbk x pipe and i know it wasnt half as bad, but still present.

BTW, WOT it sounds mean as hell. It will have a little whine from the front end in about a month too.

Get rid of that BBK X! It sounds like crap with flows IMO. Get a Mustang Tuning X or UPR X pipe if you like the X pipe design. It WILL sound better. BBK and Bassani X pipes will give you that rasp/rattle sound. Also, look into a Dr Gas X pipe as they sound killer with flows.

If all else fails, get an O/R H or Prochamber and you can't go wrong.

Crap

I don't like my BBK X-pipe. Raspy, sounds like theres a heat shield loose or something. I've had it tightened many times, two time re-installed professionally. I don't like it. At full throttle, it sounds good and mean, but just normal driving it sounds bad. QUality isn't too good either. I do prefer the sound of an x-pipe, but I may try another brand. Mine doesn't have cats either.

The rasp sound some people get isn't from the X-pipe, it's from the mufflers. Swap them out to something other than chambered mufflers and the rasp will magically disappear. Besides......chambered mufflers sound best when matched up to H-pipes...not X-pipes.
