It's been a while since I've posted anything over here....

Figured we would awake the neighbors...

My syncros are absolutely shot... new transmission to come this winter.

The sig is wrong since i've not been on here for a while.... I did have the dynomax super turbo's on it but they were far too quiet.

Currently the car has a Bassani SS catback on it with the upr o/r x and factory headers.

Are the super turbo's anywhere similar to the dynomax race bullet mufflers. I dont know much about those type of mufflers ive always been a chambered muffler guy, right now i have flowmasters with my offroad x and it sounds nasty and is loud, but i want it to get alot louder and im told straight through mufflers will do the trick. Now im just trying to figure out if i will like the sound.

If you just want loud and obnoxious... sound like poo poo go ahead and put straight pipes, glasspacks, or slp LM1's on it

magnaflow magnapacks will be a bit between these two IMO

if you want it to be loud and have a nice tone buy borla, bassani,

Track times? I’m curious to see how those cams do with ported heads.

I went 13.80 @ 105 with a 2.2 60' on a couple 90 degree days...

car still has the stock gear in it which hurts..

i think the hitech's are spec'd to be in the stock head. If you have or want to get ported heads i'd go with another cam...

Welcome back... sounds good. Seems like on some cars the Hitechs are more noticeable at idle than others. Yours is definitely noticeable.

Those cams sound great. Did you do any other work or just drop em in? Stock valve springs? I'm a noob but I really want the Hitech Stage 2s. Just worried about piston/valve contact.

I think the exhaust has a lot to do with how it sounds at idle... when i had the dynomax mufflers on it wasn't near as noticeable as it is now.

I have comp valvesprings, also my valves are not stock so that gives a little more wiggle room for PTV. I dropped them in without "properly" degreeing them, i just put them in at the stock intake centerline without measuring. The motor will come out again this winter to either go back to PI cams (boost) or I will degree them correctly and keep them in and stay n/a... still haven't made my mind up yet. So these may be for sale come winter time.
