So how "complete" is this complete kit? What else would i need to get and how good is it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VORT...ewItemQQcategoryZ33741QQitemZ8058133310QQrdZ1 peace

That is the A trim kit. Spend the extra dough and get the S trim if this is something your serious about for drag racing. But then again, The Vortech's get hot so fast so the ProCharger kit even using the P1-SC is much better for on the street. 1 pass, and dyno numbers, the Vortech is good, but hot lapping, street use, go with a ProCharger. You wont be happy with the A trim kit unless your gonna run the N20 with the Vortech.

Yeah I think that is the A-trim. I had a old A-trim and it was good for 8psi, but it was not very efficient. I now have a S-trim (SQ) super quiet with the stock 3.33 pulley I see 11psi @ 5500 rpm. Not sure how complete the ebay kit is. IMO: I don't like FMU's and small injectors that is what most base kits come with. Also base kits use a small 6rib belt. The S-trims use a bigger 8 rib belt.

So how much more is a P1-SC complete kit then the one i linked? And how complete will it be? I have a 255 pump already, and 24# injectors, should i go to 30's if i get the P1-SC or the one i linked? Like i said i'm still really kicking it around and not 100% yet. I will do the bottle and i might have a 351 to think about building. I know for this year i'm setting my sights on getting my times as fast or faster then the previous owner and looking into getting either an extra 8.8 complete or a 9", incase i happen to blow the one in there now? The thing that kinds sucks about the coupe is it's done! There's really not much left to do on it..... Suspision: done. Engine: done. Tranny:done. Rearend: done. I feel like now i'm at a point of most stangers when building a nice street/track car. Ya got every bolt on now comes the spendy part... the heads! peace

Well that is the kit that I bought, and not to debate as it would not be worth our while, there is no longer an a trim kit. The A Trim kit was eliminated as it was not efficient. The only difference, per Vortech themselves, is with the "S Trim" kit you get a bypass, a BTR I believe, an 8 rib setup, and a couple other external goodies. The head unit is exactly the same, and in fact the SC trim can handle a faster impeller speed. The reason that is, is because how the impeller is cut inside. Basically it takes next to nothing to make the sc trim an S trim, again PER VORTECH, but its not worth buying the sc just to upgrade it if S Trim items are what you want. Right now I am running 9.5 lbs of boost on my sc trim and loving it. About to do a H/C/I swap as well. I do agree with Cory on the heat issue though, as that is def true. I know I may not have helped much, but just wanted to give a personal testimony of what I know and do. If you want specifics, call Vortech. Trust me, its worth it and they are more than polite.

I also have the kit and have no complaints. Head unit is great... SC-Trim (1000 cfm) is definately not an A-Trim. I see 6psi with out of the box pullies and a power pipe (108-109mph traps with just bolt-ons and the blower with a 3450lb race weight).

There are some things you will need though... bypass valve is a must (might as well get the kit from vortech with the aluminum discharge tube about $200 new), 8-rib pullies if you plan on running more boost than the 5-6 it makes out of the box (another $230 for the vortech kit with 6.87" and 3.33" pullies for 9-10 psi) and then the usual blower goodies... some way to tune, power pipe, spark plugs, gauges, etc. You cant beat the durability and reliability of a vortech.

I know some of you guys have already thought of this, but if the heat is a major concern for you, you can always get an air to air intercooler for a turbo kit and do a little custom plumbing to and from.... viola: an air to air intercooled vortec. The blower doesn't know its there, and all the motor knows is the incoming air is cooler. (mow powah!)

Juuuuusst a thought.
